About Sam
I am currently a Conference Programmer at Information Management Network (IMN), a global organizer of institutional finance, investment and real estate conferences. Focused almost entirely on the Real Estate portfolio, I have thus far produced events in Atlanta, Vail, Nashville, and Phoenix, with additional events scheduled for Miami, Dallas, Scottsdale, and Denver.
Prior to joining IMN, I was a Content Manager at CB Insights, a SaaS company providing market intelligence on private companies and investor activities globally. At CB Insights, I served on the Community & Ecosystem team, focused on putting on high-level events and building communities.
Prior to CB Insights, I served as Senior Events & Content Associate at New American Economy (NAE), a research and advocacy organization fighting for smart local, state, and national immigration policies. At NAE, I planned and executed both in-person and virtual events, launched new initiatives, and forged partnerships with outside organizations.
Prior to my time at NAE, I was a political journalist with a focus on election coverage. I worked as a Staff Writer at Newsweek anchoring coverage of the 2018 midterm elections, and previously worked at National Journal during the historic 2016 election cycle and at CQ Roll Call in the immediate aftermath of the 2014 elections. I also worked in the Public Affairs Office at the U.S. Department of Justice.
I possess a broad background in event planning and production, content strategy & creation, as well as writing, politics, and policy. A Georgetown alum hailing from New York City, I've spent my entire life surrounded by stories waiting to be told and I plan to make a long career telling them.
